New Monitor Bezel

I recently bought a Blast City monitor bezel from a guy on Arcade Projects, When I saw it, I thought “I could do something cool with that.”
I’m still not sure what I want to do with it yet. My other bezel has a CvS2 movestrip across the top, some stickers and a bunch of square Instax photos. The CvS2 movestrip is mostly just for show. Every character is packed into one strip, and since it’s up top, it’s completely unreadable while playing. The cab was like that when I got it, and I don’t really care to move it since nobody really looks at movestrips anyway. Typically, people either know how to play already, so they don’t need to reference a tiny strip of paper, or they have no idea how to play, so they are mashing like crazy with no desire to learn special moves. Sorry for rambling.
I could just use this bezel to feature a different selection of photos and stickers, but I would like to make this more of an art project. It already has little holes drilled through it, so it’s not like I’d be defiling a pristine collector’s item. I am extremely worried about the final product looking like complete shit. There’s a chance that even if it looks good on it’s own, it’ll look really tacky when affixed to the cab.
My grandmother (the same one who painted the art for my RAP4, absolute queen) let me borrow paint markers. I am so spoiled by digital art, specifically the undo button. I am so afraid to make a single mark on this bezel. Maybe I could sketch it out digitally, then reference my own sketch. Maybe I should paint the bezel white before using the markers. Maybe I won’t end up using the markers at all.

Speaking of digital art, check out the new drawing on the high score page. Obviously that is not relevant to the “Blast City Log”, but I just put it there yesterday and I don’t know where else I’d mention it. When drawing the original, I was really worried about it being “too much.” I don’t give a shit anymore. Also, someone needs to get a new high score already. CJ has been in the spotlight for too long.
